About the Show
Once upon a time, there was a little girl called Eldemina. Eldemina loved to dance! She was even invited to dance for Queen Cinderella, who was so enchanted she gave Eldemina her beautiful glass slippers. Eldemina was very happy. Until the arrival of Madeline, her new baby sister. When she heard that Madeline would be a dancer too, she was determined Madeline would not have the glass slippers. She threw them into a lake to make sure no-one else could ever wear them. Her story is told by Imelda the comic Baglady (who has a lot of trouble with her own shoes). We hear how Eldemina regretted throwing away the slippers, how she got them back, and how she came to love her little sister. Whose Shoes? is a gentle, funny play about sibling rivalry, brought to life by renowned director and choreographer Kitty Winter and featuring specially composed live music – and of course, dancing!
