About the Show
In the middle of a snow-covered forest sits a tiny cottage unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Its roof is made of gingerbread, the walls are made of chocolate cake, the door is made of boiled sweets and the windows of clear sugar glaze, but what’s inside? Follow Hansel and Gretel into the frozen forest… and find out. Adapting the classic fairytale with NIE's trademark blend of live music, clowning and storytelling, Hansel & Gretel is a beautiful show for all the family to enjoy. Hansel and Gretel is a co-production with The Junction, developed at BAC. The show will be performed at The Junction (Cambridge) from 7 December 2011 - 3 January 2012, and be available for extended touring runs in subsequent years.
