WHO WE ARE

TYA-UK Centre of ASSITEJ is a network for makers and promoters of professional theatre for young audiences, linking the UK to theatres, organisations and individual artists around the world.

  • We work for a fuller awareness of the value of theatre for young audiences 

Our members and partners in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland deliver, support and promote:

  • professional development for established and emerging artists
  • festivals and conferences 
  • information about  plays, artists, events and trends worldwide

 BOARD OF MANAGEMENT

Paul Harman (International Representative and member of the ASSITEJ International Executive Committee) Chairs the TYA-UK Board. Dr Steve Ball chairs TYA England and Gary Meredith chairs the Committee in Wales. Tony Reekie (director of Imaginate),  represents Scotland.  Other members are  Eimear Henry (Northern Ireland),  Vicky Ireland MBE (Deputy International Representative), Jeremy Turner (Wales). Secretary is  Paul Mc Eneaney (Northern Ireland). Treasurer, Guy Holland.

In each part of the UK theatre for young audiences is developing strongly and in different ways appropriate to local needs.
